The Bold Collective

CONVERGE at Tron Theatre

It’s time to launch The Bold Collective! We’re inviting everyone to come celebrate with us at the Tron Theatre on the 11th of March between 1pm-5pm.

We’re having a huge celebration filled with workshops, performances and exhibitions. Take part in a Latin dance class, Writing workshop, Drama workshop or even Tabletop gaming! Listen to some amazing young performers showcase their work – from Spoken Word to Music, there’s a bit of something for everyone. We’ll also be showing off some talented visual art pieces from young Scottish artists, and will be playing some short films from the BFI Film Forever pieces. We’re also going to have a crafty area – make a hand sculpture, a card for mum or help us build a cardboard city!

For budding young (and not so young) artists, you can have a wee chat with any of the young people leading the event about where to start building and exploring your talent, and how to build on it!

Our event is completely FREE and suitable for all the family, with plenty of food. Come and join us!

We are supported by Glasgow Connected Arts Network, and The Bold Collective is made up of young people who are passionate about youth arts in Glasgow.

The Bold Collective are GCAN's youth arts division.

Comprised of young people between the ages of 16 and 25, The Bold Collective are invested in promoting and encouraging access to the arts for other young people in Glasgow.

The Bold Collective regularly meet to discuss and promote local opportunities for young people in the city, as well as organising and hosting events which give them access to industry professionals and their experiences, and promote networking and skills sharing.

The group is currently busy organising their first event of 2018, CONVERGE, detailed above. For updates, keep an eye on the collective's social media channels, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
